Oh, he loves it. His wife also applied for the JET Program and he is trying out for Foreign Service Written Exam in Osaka. He would like to stay on but you can stay only three years in any one area.

Since you're in JET Program yourself I'll bet you're an expert in speaking, reading and translating Japanese.
